Clark Community Cultural Consortium (CCCC)
Launched by the Arts Alive Partnership, the Clark Community Cultural Consortium (CCCC) is a group of Springfield and Clark County, Ohio, community agencies and businesses that have joined together to create, promote, and provide cultural programs for our community schools. The CCCC members present lessons in classrooms, provide materials and workshops for teachers, offer large group experiences (assemblies and field trips), and create opportunities for students to visit their agency or business. The CCCC has created a network for these organizations to work together to offer the most effective and economical programs for our local districts. There is no cost for membership.
Why Was the CCCC Organized?
The CCCC was organized to support local educators in their quest for increased student achievement. They endeavor to incorporate and promote the Ohio Academic Content Standards through Arts Integration in programs and services they provide to the local educational community. The programs are as varied as the cultural, business, and community agencies in the CCCC.
What Are the Benefits for Students?
Students have the opportunity to learn content in many different ways. CCCC members present lessons via classroom presentations, small and large group assemblies, field trips, and workshops with hands-on, minds-on experiences different from the traditional school setting.
What Are the Benefits for Teachers?
Teachers have the opportunity to attend workshops given by CCCC members on content that relates to the classroom. They also receive support by members’ programs that enrich their students’ learning experiences. Many members offer support materials to be used in the classroom. A CCCC Directory of members and services is given to each educator in Clark County.
What Are the Benefits for Our Community?
Our community is greatly concerned for the success of all students in Springfield and Clark County. The CCCC represents an effort to support our educational system. This collaboration by CCCC members is an opportunity for local agencies and businesses to work together to strengthen our community educationally, economically and culturally.
What are the benefits for Our Members?
Members receive assistance in developing and aligning their programs to make the most impact with students. Curriculum consultants assist in the process of integration of standards. Workshops are provided for CCCC members to increase their skills in working with students. The CCCC Directory promotes members’ services and gives contact information.
