Who are Clark State Performing Arts Center Volunteers?Performing Arts Center volunteers come from all areas of the community. A volunteer has a twofold job: 1) to assist the patrons and 2) to help promote the Center and its programs. Volunteers are also responsible for the safety and well being of many large audiences as well as personally contributing to the professional manner in which the Performing Arts Center is managed. What are the requirements?
Volunteers are selected based on availability, related experience, and the needs of the Center. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Those who are 18 and under must have the consent of a parent or guardian who must also attend an orientation session with the volunteer. Why should I volunteer?You’ll have the chance to help keep the arts alive and flourishing in the community. Without volunteers, the Center simply could not provide such great performances to our audiences at reasonable costs. What benefits do I receive?Your benefits include the satisfaction of making a positive contribution to the success of the Performing Arts Center, being a part of the exciting life of the theatre and meeting interesting new people. There are also tangible rewards such as recognition gifts, dinner and potluck parties and the chance to see performances. Your application will be reviewed. If accepted, you will take part in a volunteer training session that is conducted twice a year. During your early volunteer training, you will be paired with a “buddy” (an experienced volunteer) who will “show you the ropes. |
