Arts AliveArts Alive provides opportunities for teachers and students to educate through the arts and connects the school system to the community. These education connections are coordinated by the Community Outreach and Education Director and the Arts Alive Partnership (a Kennedy Center Partners in Education Team consisting of Clark State Performing Arts Center, Clark County Educational Service Center, Springfield City Schools, and Wittenberg University). Arts Alive hosts free professional development workshops for teachers, the Exploration Series and the Clark Community Cultural Consortium. Arts Alive Free Professional Development WorkshopsArts Alive collaborates in teacher development workshops, artist school residencies and the Arts Alive Resource Center. These programs are offered through our area schools with students in grades Pre-K through 12. Students are bussed in to see the performance during the school day. The performances provide an exciting extension into the classroom, coinciding with your child's curriculum and educational objectives. Our school day performances spark the imagination and demonstrate the impact and importance of the arts in our children's lives. Check with your child's school to see if they are participants in this wonderful program, and join us as we encourage our young people to be "Arts Explorers!" Registration is required through your child's school or home schoolers. Please contact the Outreach and Education Department for more information. Exploration Series Brochure - 2009-2010 (PDF) Clark Community Cultural Consortium (CCCC)Launched by the Arts Alive Partnership, the Clark Community Cultural Consortium (CCCC) is a group of Springfield and Clark County, Ohio, community agencies and businesses that have joined together to create, promote and provide cultural programs for our community schools. The CCCC members present lessons in classrooms, provide materials and workshops for teachers, offer large group experiences (assemblies and field trips), and create opportunities for students to visit their agency or business. The CCCC has created a network for these organizations to work together to offer the most effective and economical programs for our local school districts. Membership is free. |
